Home Made Burger with Basil and Garlic Aioli.

Hard to see the burger, but trust me its there and it was delicious.

Usually during the summer, I would make hamburgers for my family on Sundays after church. I had always thought that my mom insisted I make them all the time because they were a cheap meal and relatively quick to make.

Turns out it was because it was cheap AND they thought they were the best burgers they have ever eaten. My brother would want me to make extra patties so that he could heat them up later in the week.

Even his (now ex, thank goodness) girlfriend decided to skip lunch plans to have burgers with us when she heard I was cooking them. And she was a picky eater!

I did’t do anything special, just added garlic salt, pepper, dried thyme, Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb, and egg, a sprinkle of flour, and sometimes some dried chili flakes.

The garlic aioli is just a mix of mayonnaise, basil, garlic, salt, lemon juice and pepper. All blended in a food processor. Feel free to add as much or as little as you’d like. This sauce is all about personal preference.
