I love Stacy’s Pita Chips. They are so delicious and perfectly crunchy and salty. But, they are expensive!
I was going to a pot luck and wanted to bring some pita chips to go with a dip I made. Being the frugal minded and resourceful girl I am, I decided to make my own (and healthier) version of pita chips.
I bought a bag of pita bread ($2.99) and brought it home. I cut each pita into 6 slices with a pizza cutter and lined a pan with the slices. Then, I sprinkled a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Set the oven to 250°F, then let them bake for about 30 minutes.
Tada! Yummy and healthy pita chips for a fraction of the cost of store bought varieties. I feel like Martha Stewart over here.
